The better option then is to go to New York ( Emerald Lake ). So do you think is it too early for me at this stage to go for more expensive locations. 1 of them #6 with red worms, the other #4 with bread and honey. 2x beginner feeders rods, 2kg reel on each one, 1.8kg line on each one. I would advise to use your float until license expire, go back to Lonestar and farm bass there until you can afford the beginner feeder setup. You will be better of with 2x feeder rods. But that lake is optimized for feeders really. And float will have medium success on #6 with redworms or bread and honey. You'll probably still get plenty of spotted Bass strikes though. Experiment with the timing until you get a consistent 3 dot twitching retrieve). (A easy twitch retrieve can be done by making a cast, holding the RMB down and then pressing the LMB for around 1 - 2 seconds, stop and then pressing the LMB again for 1- 2 seconds, repeat. Failing that a simple straight retrieve at speed 2 and dropping to 1 when a bow wave appears behind the lure will often work. Try keeping the spoons near the surface with a speed 1 or 2 using a twitch retrieve.
